Imagining a feminist internet is critical to bringing about transformation in gendered structures of power that exist on and offline. Disparities in access to technology, online violence, and surveillance disproportionately affect marginalised communities, specifically girls and women. These are symptoms of larger structural inequalities through which the internet has been created and continues to thrive.
