#CSW66 Widows as Environmental Leaders
WIDOWS AS ENVIRONMENTAL LEADERS
CSW 66 parallel event organized by Widows for Peace through Democracy
Co-sponsored by The Congress of Nations and States.
Bringing together speakers from Burma, Nepal and Kenya
March 18th 8:00 am – 9.30 EST (12 noon UK time)
The event brings together speakers from Burma, Nepal and Kenya and builds on the COP 26 Climate Crisis meeting in Glasgow last year, when marginalised women were mentioned, including widows, but were not at the decision making table.
The panel explores how widows can be and already are sources of empowerment and change in their local communities to combat the systemic issues increased by environmental change, destruction, conflict and coronavirus.
