Brexit/Women’s Rights panel at the Women of the World Festival.
The event takes place on Friday 10th March, 11.30 – 12.30,
We are inviting a balanced cross-party range of women in politics to speak on the panel to discuss ;
- What leaving the European Union will mean for the future of equality rights,
- The impact of a changing economy on women’s chances in the employment market,
- Whether Brexit will give women greater control over business and tax decisions,
- the knock-on effect of the referendum on life chances and well-being.
The panel will also give the audience the chance to ask any burning questions they might have about the impact of Brexit on women.
The panelists are as follows:
Remain – Joanna Maycock, Director of the European Women’s Lobby; Stella Creasy, Labour;
Leave – Jenny Jones, Green Party; Suella Fernandes, Conservative.
