YWA tackle UK Lad Culture for International Women’s Day
From 6th – 8th March, Lucy Owens and Rebecca Hunt represented NAWO and the YWA at the Feminist Forum in Brussels. Whilst there, the pair attended a Youth4Abolition meeting where they explained to the group the progress that we has been made with NAWO Glos over the past few months and heard about what the other members of the group had been working towards in their countries.
They further discussed future plans for the group and talked about how all can work together towards the abolition of prostitution. On International Women’s Day, they had the privilege of sitting on a panel at the European Parliament where they delivered a speech on lad and rape culture, with particular focus on their personal experiences in relation to this topic.
