RUSI International Women’s Day Series

To celebrate International Women’s Day, RUSI’s Under 35s Forum will host two panel discussions. These events will be open to all, bringing together senior and emerging specialists in academia, policy, industry and the military to examine the most pertinent gender and security issues of the day.

Gender, Conflict and Peace: How Should Women Lead in Peacekeeping and Post-Conflict Operations?

Gender-based violence is commonplace during conflict. It is therefore vital that gender perspectives are fully integrated into the thinking and strategies of militaries and other international actors. With a keynote speech from Major General Kristin Lund, Force Commander of the UN Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus, RUSI is proud to host an evening reception and panel discussion on the role of women in peacekeeping and post-conflict reconstruction..
