Human rights are for everyone and matter at all stages of our lives. Equally Ours recently launched a new web resource, Rights for Life (www.equally-ours.org.uk) highlighting how we rely on human rights when we’re younger or older, need care, using services, at work, interacting with the police, looking after our children.
Our parliamentary reception will share the ideas around Rights for Life. It will showcase the real life examples gathered from our voluntary sector partners and people who have used human rights. These illustrate the difference human rights make for equality, fairness and dignity in people’s everyday lives. The reception will also offer a forum for parliamentarians to meet some of the voluntary sector organisations and individuals behind those stories.
