The Chrysalis Project is a partnership between Commonweal Housing and St Mungo’s. It was developed to respond to the very real need for support for women leaving prostitution who are at a stage where they are able to move on from hostel accommodation. Chrysalis developed a staged model of exit that included a phase of mixed independent and supported living, where women moved on into independent accommodation but were supported in the running of their daily lives with a gradual move into total independence.
A two-year review report, entitled “Exit Closed? Assessing the Policy Landscape for Services Seeking to Support Women to Exit Prostitution”, has just been released. To read the full 38-page report, click here.
